We traveled to northern Nigeria to interview 27 young women for the film. While they were fortunate to escape that fateful night, they stated plainly to the camera that they believe the world has forgotten the kidnapped girls who have not been rescued. The girls we interviewed spoke with misty eyes of their friends and of the school they attended together, the Government Secondary School in Chibok. Boko Haram burned the school to the ground during the attack and it has not been rebuilt. With meager resources, these young women are continuing their education elsewhere in Nigeria.
